The people we work with want to change how they feel when they step inside their homes. We help them achieve that without getting rid of the things they love. We don't believe in following "rules" when it comes to design because we aren't traditional designers. We are helpers, creators, and problem solvers. Our passion is to create happiness and beauty in homes with budgets of all sizes.

Whitney Small owner/stager/stylist

Hi, I’m Whitney. I’m a proud mom to 3 awesome boys, wife to my wonderful husband, Trey and doggie-mom to our sweet boy, Blue.

Although I’ve called North Carolina home for the past 14 years, I was born and raised in Kansas City (the Kansas side if you know your geography.) My dad was a 3rd generation small business owner and my mom was an award winning artist. Growing up, I was heavily influenced by my parents’ unique style and entrepreneurial ways. I started working in my dad’s store when I was just 7 years old and was waiting on customers by the time I turned 10. The lessons I learned about hard work and how to treat people were invaluable and have stuck with me. My mom was an artist and introduced me to a whole world of creativity. Art and design, re-purposing, and decorating.

Finding beautiful things in unexpected places and using things in unexpected ways quickly became my passion. Now, helping people do the same thing in their homes is my purpose.

Restyling to Sell or Stay… I always strive to make the process of getting started easy and approachable. My clients become my friends and I cherish my relationships with them.

After spending over a year to build our dream home, I was overwhelmed with the thought of decorating it. I was eager to make it feel like “home.” I cannot say enough positive words about Whitney. She came over and spent ample time with me, truly listening to my vision and style! She took a lot of notes and pictures and was very organized. Her execution was quick and perfectly captures what we were looking for! She always kept me up to date and made me feel comfortable with the whole process. What a burden this took off of me! She is amazing at what she does and her passion for helping you create your dream space is clearly evident! I highly recommend her if you are looking to restyle!

We've been in our house a little over three years and I love to decorate. But after Christmas I felt burnt out and stuck in a rut. Whitney was able to come in and look at my things with a whole new perspective. She ReStyled my mantle, my breakfast nook, and my dining room using things that I already owned. I love seeing my house through her eyes! Everything feels so fresh and new!

After getting our house ready to go on the market, it still needed a little pizazz for the final staging. Whitney's suggestions on how to make each room pop really made a difference. She has a keen eye for color, aesthetics, and exactly what will draw a buyer in. By using a combination of our pieces and her own props, we were able to get the house ready for photos and the staging came through beautifully. I can't wait to have her help us decorate our next home! *Edited to add that our home received multiple offers after being on the market only two days.*

After a year of renovations to my home in Birkdale Village, I decided that I could use a little help with decorating the interior of the home. I had just moved to the area from Atlanta. My realtor, Ashley Richardson, suggested that I might enjoy working with Whitney Small.

From the beginning, I could tell that we would work well together. Whitney valued what I had already done in my house, and she understood that I wanted to blend some of my old family pieces with a new modern design. That began a working relationship that lasted for 3 months. Whitney was mindful of my budget, and she had lots of great ideas as to where to shop for home décor. She helped me select fabric for chairs and for window treatments. She brought fabric samples to my home based on our discussion of what I wanted. She picked up and delivered my chairs and helped with the installation of my window treatments. She assisted me in selecting all of my dining room furniture. We shopped together, and she shopped separately, sending me pictures of ideas. She also helped me with lighting and rug decisions. Whitney was always prompt and well organized with everything she did for me. I highly recommend her as a home decorator!

I want to share how wonderful Whitney is. First of all, her kindness and warmth automatically make you smile when you meet her. She brings such excitement, knowledge, and smart ideas to decorating so that the task doesn't seem so overwhelming. I love how she shares her ideas, but listens to my thoughts as well. The ability to send a text and have her get back to me about items has been so invaluable! I appreciate her style and help in making decisions that have helped make my house a home! I can't wait to continue working with her on future projects and will recommend her to anyone!
